How to File a DMCA Notice
If you are a copyright owner (or authorised to act on behalf of one) and believe that content on PregTips.com infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA Takedown Notice to our designated copyright agent.
To be valid and actionable under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), your notice must include all six of the following elements:
- Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple works are covered, a representative list is acceptable.
- Identification of the infringing material on PregTips.com — including the specific URL(s) where the material is located, with enough detail for us to find it.
- Your contact information — including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A good-faith statement that you believe the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
- A statement of accuracy, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf.
Submit Your DMCA Notice
Send all DMCA notices by email to our designated copyright agent. Include “DMCA Notice” in the subject line. We aim to respond within 48 business hours.
Our DMCA Response Process
Once we receive a valid DMCA notice, we follow a clear, transparent process to investigate and respond. Here is exactly what happens:
Notice Acknowledged
We acknowledge receipt of your DMCA notice and begin our review. You will receive a confirmation email from our team.
Validity Assessment
We assess whether the notice contains all required elements and whether the claim appears to be made in good faith. Incomplete or invalid notices will not be actioned.
Content Disabled or Removed
If the notice is valid and we determine infringement may have occurred, we will promptly disable access to or remove the identified content from PregTips.com.
User Notified
If the content was uploaded by a user (e.g., a comment), we notify that user of the takedown and provide information about the counter-notice process.
Counter-Notice Period
The affected party has 10–14 business days to submit a valid counter-notice. If no counter-notice is received, the removal stands permanently.
Reinstatement Consideration
If a valid counter-notice is received and the original claimant does not file a court action within the statutory period, the content may be reinstated at our discretion.
Filing a Counter-Notice
If content you submitted to PregTips.com has been removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was made in error — for example, because you own the rights to the content or your use qualifies as fair use — you may file a DMCA Counter-Notice.
A valid counter-notice must include the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the content that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, and that you will accept service of process from the original claimant.
Where to Send It
Submit counter-notices by email to dmca@pregtips.com with the subject “DMCA Counter-Notice.”
Timing
Counter-notices must be filed within 10–14 business days of receiving notice of the takedown to be considered.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and our commitment to protecting intellectual property, PregTips.com maintains a strict repeat infringer policy.
Any user, commenter, or third party who is found to have repeatedly infringed upon the copyrights of others — whether content owned by PregTips.com or by any third party — will have their access to PregTips.com terminated. This includes the permanent removal of any comments, submissions, or other content they have contributed to the site.
We track and record all DMCA notices and any associated counter-notices. Multiple valid infringement claims against the same individual or entity will be treated as clear evidence of repeat infringement.
PregTips.com also reserves the right to pursue civil remedies and refer egregious or commercial-scale infringement cases to relevant legal authorities.
Fair Use Notice
PregTips.com acknowledges the Fair Use Doctrine (17 U.S.C. § 107) and the similar “fair dealing” provisions in other jurisdictions. Fair use permits limited use of copyrighted material without requiring permission from the rights holder in specific circumstances.
The four factors considered in determining fair use are:
We do not make formal determinations of fair use on behalf of third parties. If you believe your use of our content qualifies as fair use but are uncertain, we recommend consulting a qualified intellectual property attorney before proceeding.
Similarly, where we use third-party materials under a fair use rationale, we are careful to use only what is necessary, provide proper attribution, and ensure our use is transformative and non-commercial in nature.
Licensing & Permission Requests
We are open to licensing our content for commercial, educational, or editorial use. If you would like to reproduce, republish, translate, or otherwise use our content in a way not covered by the permitted uses in Section 02, you must obtain written permission in advance.
We consider licensing requests for:
- Content syndication: Republishing full articles on other websites, apps, or publications with appropriate credit and revenue share arrangements.
- Translation rights: Translating our content into other languages for use on international websites or platforms.
- Print use: Reproducing our content in books, magazines, leaflets, or other printed materials.
- Brand partnerships: Co-branded content or sponsored content arrangements referencing PregTips.com.
- Commercial use of images: Using our original photography or graphics in commercial contexts.

We review all requests and typically respond within 5 business days.
